About Cath
Hi there, I’m Caterina - aka Cath!
“The most beautiful curve on a women’s body is her smile.”
As a personal stylist it is not just about dressing someone, it is about listening to what someone has to say.
We all have different tastes and budgets when it comes to clothes and that is fine. It’s also not just about the clothes but loving what you see in the mirror each day.
Being honest and wearing my heart on my sleeve can be a good and bad thing but I know that when it comes to my business, it is a good thing. You will only get the truth from me along with loads of fun.
From a Wardrobe Refresh to a Personal Shopping Session, these should not make you nervous, they should bring you excitement and knowing that after any of these sessions you will feel even more comfortable than before in your style while investing in yourself.
My obsession with fashion and beauty started in my early teens, when I would use all my pocket money buying the latest Dolly magazine and then onto Cosmopolitan magazines. I would devour the magazines, with what was the latest trends for both fashion and make up.
Throughout my life, my relationship with clothes was easy. If I liked something, I’d buy it and wear it. Experimenting with bold colours, patterns, and fabrics. It was a way of expressing my personality, even though I was shy (yes, for those that know me, how is that possible), confidence came with age and working.
For 18 years I worked in real estate as a Property Manager, and I saw my wardrobe split into work wear, casual wear, and formal wear.
I wish I knew then, what I know now!
I wish I knew that you can blend your wardrobe and utilize all your clothes and that is what I teach my clients in a Wardrobe Refresh.
I then took some time away from work to raise my daughter. But I did miss that interacting, as I love being around people and that feeling of doing something for yourself.
So, in 2019 I completed my Certificate of Styling with the Australian Style Institute and started Edit & Style by Caterina, based here in Perth, Western Australia.
We are not all one size fits all.
I discovered after my daughter, that my body shape changed so much, that I was overwhelmed and did not know how to dress my new shape. So out came the black, navy, and grey to cover up, what I thought was an imperfect body.
Fast forward, I now rarely wear grey (I know it drains me of colour) and my wardrobe is back bursting with colour again, like it was in the early days.
If I can help women find themselves after a major event in their life (from having children, weight change, new lifestyle, or anything else), to find their unique style and make them feel amazing. That way, they can have confidence each day in whatever they are doing.
Then I know I have done a great job and that makes me smile.
