What is holding your style back?

Are you stuck in a time era? Dressing like you did when you were in your 20’s or 30’s.

Has your style evolved since those days or you are just stuck on a ferris wheel of wearing the same style clothes and you aren’t game to jump off and try something new.

Personally I loved my style in my late 20’s and early 30’s (yes, I’m showing my real age here) but I have had to accept that my body isn’t the same shape, as it was then. So now I am dressing a new body, like dressing a new me. The possibilities are endless.

Do you look at your friends, or follow someone on Instagram or even a celebrity and wish that you could pull of the same look?

You know that you can, but it’s about dressing for your body shape and finding the right fit of clothes for your height and proportions.

Change doesn’t have to be that you throw out all your clothes in your wardrobe, it is about starting small and injecting a few new pieces that light you up.

Your first step would be:

To do a Wardrobe Refresh of what you currently have in your wardrobe. Remove clothes that don’t fit, are really old and worn and you haven’t worn in a long time. Did you know that I offer a free DIY Declutter you Wardrobe Guide on my website. It gives you a step by step guide on doing a Wardrobe Refresh.

Then you have a good look, what is missing in your wardrobe. Is it a jumper, shirt or t-shirt etc.

This is the fun part, you can buy an item that you need for your wardrobe, but choose something that suits your personality, makes you feel alive and the colour compliments your skin tone.

Another way to inject some more of your style signature in your wardrobe is by accessories, shoes and handbags. You don’t have to stick to black or neutrals. Why not put a pop of colour, unique materials or patterns.

I know for some of my clients, the cost of change was holding them back. They couldn’t discard items in their wardrobe, as they remembered how much they paid for them. But if you aren’t wearing those items, you aren’t getting your cost per wear anyway.

Change takes courage but if not today, when?
