Sizing Differences in Clothes
I was talking to my friend about sizing in clothes and how frustrating it can be. She had purchased a skirt online in her size only to find it was so tight. Then having to return it and get the next size up. Does this just make you upset for the inconvenience or is it more the number on the tag that upsets you?
Jeans are a huge one at the moment going into winter. I’m usually a size 12 and find that the big chain stores, I can’t get a 12 over my hips in some of the styles. It’s like wow, how can that be. But unfortunately, there is no code on sizing.
Sizing is so inconsistent from one label to the next, so unless you know a brand and can be confident that the size is right, you can either take a gamble with online shopping or take an extra 10mins in your shopping expeditions to try the garment on.
But remember the size on tag is no reflection on you and if it makes you feel a bit low, cut of the tag. Wearing a size that looks good on you is the made goal.
Does the inconsistency of sizing annoy you? Tell me about your experiences in the change rooms when it comes to sizes.
